Philips is expanding into the floorcare category with the launch of a robot vacuum cleaner line-up, led by the Philips HomeRun 9000 Series vacuum & wash robot with world-first PowerCyclone Aqua technology.
Philips Australia and New Zealand director and general manager, Alexander Gutwirth said, “The demand for smart home appliances in Australia is projected to grow significantly over the coming years. Fuelled by increasing interest in smart technologies for energy efficiency, security, and AI-powered devices, the smart home market is expected to be worth more than $5 billion by 2027. At Philips, we see this as an opportunity to not only innovate the floorcare category but bring a fresh approach to robotics technology.”
The flagship Philips HomeRun 9000 Series vacuum & wash robot, RRP $2,499, boasts 13 patents and industry-first features. Its patented technology removes dirty water and traps it in a built-in tank, ensuring that only fresh water is used for cleaning.
Users can enjoy up to three weeks of maintenance-free cleaning using the All-in-One station which independently refills the clean water tank while emptying the dirty water tank. The station also cleans and hot dries the mop.
Launching alongside the 9000 Series is the Philips HomeRun 2000 Series vacuum & wash robot models – the 2000 for RRP $599 and 2100 for $799 – both offering vacuuming and mopping capabilities. The high suction power ensures a deep clean that automatically increases on carpets and rugs. The 2100 series further elevates convenience with an Auto-Empty station, providing up to 70 days of hands-free operation.
The HomeRun robot line-up is compatible with the HomeRun app to select cleaning options. The app communicates with the robot to control, report and update on its cleaning status, showing where the robot has cleaned in real-time. Users can specify how they would like the robot to clean each room, let it know where it can’t go, or schedule an extra cleaning session.
The Philips HomeRun Series will be available to purchase from end of October at leading retailers including Harvey Norman, JB Hi-Fi, Amazon and Bing Lee.
