SYDNEY, NSW: European kitchen appliance brand Blanco, distributed in Australia by Hagemeyer, announced yesterday that it will be partnering with Prahran Markets in Metropolitan Melbourne to supply appliances for a branded demonstration kitchen in the venue.

Australia’s oldest continually-running market, Prahran Market has been on its current site in Melbourne’s South Yarra since 1881. The Market’s partnership with Blanco will involve a central Blanco Demonstration Kitchen onsite, as well as a branded physical presence throughout the venue.

Jennelle Larven, Blanco brand manager, said the partnership with the local foodie venue was an obvious choice.

“Blanco is about embracing that modern Australian love for cooking, a passion that is seeing a recent surge due to reality TV and making the most of our delicious, fresh produce,” said Larven. “Prahran Markets also has this message at the heart of what they do, with a strong vision for educating everyone about the importance of fresh food.”

The Blanco Demonstration Kitchen will provide food education to market visitors, with “regular cooking demonstrations…to showcase the company’s stylish yet functional range of built-in ovens, steam oven, gas cooktop and other appliances.”

The partnership is intended to bring “food knowledge and expertise to everyday Australians” and to show how “fresh produce, combined with quality appliances, is the smart way to cook when you are looking for beautiful and tasty dishes, speaking to Blanco’s brand ethos of ‘Not just beautiful, smart’.”

“Our message to food lovers is that, with a combination of the best produce and the best Blanco appliances in the kitchen, you can work smartly in the kitchen to create the most beautiful and delicious meals or even take on new kitchen challenges with confidence,” Larven said.
