Panasonic has introduced a new electric benchtop oven with a large 38 litre interior capacity in a compact design measuring just 38cm wide and 30cm deep, designed for smaller spaces such as caravans, studio apartments and granny flats.

As an all-in-one cooking appliance, the oven can be used for re-heating, frying, baking, grilling, spit-roasting and fermenting food.

There are individual upper and lower sections that can be set at different temperatures to meet varying cooking needs and sufficient space for slow speed, automatic 360-degree spit roasting. There are six heating functions supported by convection technology, coupled with a wide temperature range from 40 degrees to 230 degrees Celsius for yogurt, bread dough, cakes, pizzas and more. Other features include an internal LED light, double layer insulated glass, heat-resistant door handle, and intuitive temperature dials.

The oven comes with six accessories including an enamel baking tray, cooking rack, baking tray holder, rotisserie spit, extraction bracket, and crumb tray.

Panasonic product marketing manager for small appliances, Ginger Yu said the new benchtop oven caters for versatile cooking requirements.

“Consumers will love how quick and easy food can be cooked, the space it saves, and the handy cooking accessories included. It is a must for those wanting to cook their favourite meals with freedom.”

Panasonic’s Electric Benchtop Oven is available from selected Harvey Norman and Betta stores, Myer, Winning Appliances and other consumer electronics retailers for RRP $389.
