OPPO Australia has launched its latest handset, the OPPO A17, bringing a range of innovations previously reserved for flagship devices to its entry-level range. Priced at just $259, the OPPO A17 is designed for price-savvy consumers.
The OPPO A17 utilises a composite processing technique that makes the phone’s back cover look and feel like genuine leather – a premium styling previously reserved for OPPO’s flagship Find Series – available in two colour finishes, Lake Blue and Midnight Black.
The A17 inherits OPPO’s ultra-slim retro designwith a flat-edged middle frame and smoothed edges for a sleek, premium appearance. Weighing approximately 189 grams with a thickness of around 8.29mm, the A17 feels light and premium in hand.

With the A17 we’ve prioritised features that Australians value most, such as a quality camera system, long-lasting battery and sleek design, and brought them to market at a pocket-friendly price point,” OPPO Australia managing director, Michael Tran said.
A 50MP AI main camera and 5MP front camera can deliver photos with precision and clarity. Equipped with a long-lasting 5,000mAh large battery, users receive up to 20 hours of phone calls on a full charge.
Super Power Saving Mode also helps maximise the battery when it drops to 10%, while the new Super Nighttime Standby feature leverages AI to learn sleep patterns and reduce power consumption, controlling battery use to within just 2 to 3% of total capacity overnight.
Featuring aMediaTek Helio G35 Mobile Platform, the OPPO A17 provides efficient performance with a CPU speed of up to 2.3 GHz. With OPPO’sRAM Expansion technology, RAM capacity can be expanded by borrowing up to 4GB of unused ROM. Enhanced security features, such asFive-Grade Access Control and Photo Information Protection, help keep sensitive information secure.
The OPPO A17 is now available through stockists including JB Hi-Fi, Big W, Harvey Norman, Officeworks, The Good Guys and Bing Lee for RRP $259.
