OPPO Australia is launching its first tablet in the Australian market – the Pad Air – expanding its ecosystem of products, which already includes smartphones, wearable and hearable devices.

The Pad Air features a two-tone metal splicing design. The upper part of the rear panel combines a 3D texture in an OPPO Glow finish, preventing unwanted fingerprints, and grooves for a better grip. The lower part of the rear panel has been sandblasted with grains of only 0.15mm, creating a surface that looks slick, but isn’t slippery. At only 440 grams and 6.94mm thickness, OPPO Pad Air feels light and comfortable.

Speaking of the launch, OPPO Australia managing director, Michael Tran believes the Pad Air is a natural expansion to OPPO’s product portfolio.

“As a business we’ve been working hard to develop an ecosystem of products that our consumers would love. Our tablet has been in development for some time now, but we wanted to ensure the product was perfect before bringing it to market. We’re confident we’ve achieved that,” Tran said.

The new OPPO Pad Air runs on ColorOS for Pad that supports smart touch interactions such as two-finger split screen, four-finger floating window, and smart sidebar. In addition, there are two new multi-display features that help users maintain continuity across devices.

Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 Mobile Platform, the tablet’s eight-core architecture allows users to work and play even when multitasking. The tablet sports a 10.36-inch 2K HD display that has passed TÜV Rheinland’s certification for eye care and boasts low blue light eye protection that effectively reduces eye fatigue.

In addition, OPPO Pad Air is equipped with four large speakers and supports Dolby Atmos, delivering a high-quality sound with clarity for an immersive listening experience. Its large 7,100 mAh battery allows users to watch videos for up to 12 hours, attend video conferences for up to 15 hours, or read e-books for up to 16 hours.

Google Kids Space for children to play, read, watch videos and even create drawings and science projects. The parental controls in the Family Link app from Google helps them manage content, set screen time limits and more from their own device, as long as they have a Google Account.

The OPPO Pad Air is now available through the OPPO Australia online store for RRP $379.
