Ooni Pizza Ovens has launched its largest pizza oven to date, the Koda 2 Max, a 24-inch gas-powered pizza oven with a dual-zone cooking function.

Dual-zone cooking has been made possible with two independently controlled gas burners, which allow for multiple pizza styles or foods such as meats and vegetables to be cooked simultaneously at different temperatures. For example, slow cook a deep-dish pizza on one side while firing a New York-style on the other, or sear salmon on the left while flame-cooking kebabs on the right.

The gas-powered oven is fitted with the state-of-the-art Ooni G2 gas technology which has been in 8,000 hours of development at Ooni for two years. The new technology with two gas burners allows one-turn cooking, consistent stone temperature and improved fuel efficiency. The system also brings easy-light control dials and an auto sparking-ignition.

The Koda 2 Max takes the guesswork out of cooking with its digital temperature hub delivering instant air temperature readings from either side of the oven. It comes equipped with a pair of digital food probes which take internal temperature readings of meat.

In an Ooni first, the digital temperature hub also connects to smartphones thanks to Ooni Connect technology, offering real-time notifications of oven and digital food probe temperatures. Users simply sync the oven to the Ooni Connect app to access real-time cooking notifications, product updates, tips and more.

Other key features of the Koda 2 Max include a removable glass visor shield for an unrestricted view of the flames, a built-in stainless steel pizza ledge for resting pans and turning pizzas, and a 20mm cordierite cooking surface, Ooni’s thickest baking stone yet, ensuring the oven stays hotter for longer.

Suitable for outdoor cooking, the Ooni Koda 2 Max reaches 500°C in 30 minutes and is available for $1,499.
