Leading home pizza oven creator, Ooni is launching two new additions to its line-up in time for spring, the Ooni Volt 12 and Ooni Karu 12G.
The Ooni Volt 12 (pictured above) is the company’s first electric pizza oven that simply plugs into a power point making it suitable for outdoor spaces or indoor kitchens. Reaching 450°C in 20 minutes, home cooks can bake a Neapolitan style pizza in just 90 seconds on a 13-inch cordierite baking stone.
Featuring two heating elements – one at the top for downward heat and one under the stone for crispy bases – the Volt comes with a built-in temperature, time, balance control and new boost function.
Lightweight, portable and easy to store, the Volt 12 has a weather resistant shell to withstand the elements when cooking outdoors. A triple-paned glass door provides a clear view of the pizza cooking without losing heat.

The Ooni Karu 12G (pictured above) claims to be the world’s most advanced portable pizza oven with multi-fuel versatility, an integrated thermometer, ClearView technology and a triple-paned borosilicate glass door – a first for the Ooni 12-inch oven range. It brings the best features of the Ooni Karu 16 pizza oven in a more compact model.
The Karu 12G is ready to cook straight from the box using wood, charcoal or a combination of both. Alternatively, users can attach the optional gas burner to use a gas bottle. The oven claims to use 36% less gas than previous models and can reach 450°C in 20 minutes.
With a 13-inch cooking area, users can cook a Neapolitan-style pizza in 60 seconds or experiment with a Detroit-style pizza or grilled meat and vegetables in an Ooni cast iron pan.

The Ooni Volt 12 and Ooni Karu 12G will be available in time for spring 2023 from the Ooni website, as well as retailers including David Jones, The Pizza Oven Store, Smoked BBQ Co., Indi Tribe Collective and Minimax.
