SYDNEY, NSW: Miele, Samsung and eBay picked up awards last night at the 2011 Choice Awards. Here is a round-up.

Miele has won the award for Best Washing Machine Brand. Here’s Miele Australia MD Michael Jeanes.

“The Choice Best Washing Machine Brand Award reinforces Miele’s premium position in laundry care and comes at an opportune time as we launch our new laundry range, the W 5000 and T 8000 series, which delivers additional benefits to those products that have been awarded,” said Jeanes.

eBay was named Best Online Retailer. Here’s VP and MD Deborah Sharkey.

“We are absolutely thrilled to have won the People’s Choice award and we would like to thank the Choice members who voted for eBay in this category. Today 78 per cent of all items available for sale on eBay.com.au are brand new and it is incredibly satisfying to see that consumers are switched on to this and are also taking advantage of it,” she said.

“To be awarded Best TV Brand by Choice is a great honour and testament to Samsung’s ongoing leadership of the Australian TV industry. Choice continually rates highly in our research into where consumers get their information from when considering a TV purchase,” he said.
