Officeworks celebrated the grand opening of its second largest Queensland store in Toowoomba.
The new 2,500-square-metre store is almost double the size of its previous 1,300-square-metre location.
It offers more than 10,000 additional products including an expanded selection of art supplies and furniture display.
It also features a Print & Create service, the first time Officeworks is providing same-day printing services to the local community.
“The new location will provide greater convenience and accessibility for customers, including 130 car parks and a larger retail space,” Kylie Brockett, Officeworks head of property, said.
“Additionally, the new store will feature solar panels on the roof reinforcing our commitment to reducing the emissions from our operations.”
Officeworks has partnered with the not-for-profit organisation Clontarf Foundation to provide valuable employment opportunities and on-the-job opportunities to Clontarf students.
The store is the first of Officeworks’ 17 future locations to be officially recognised as a ‘Deadly Store’, a designation given to a store which actively contributes to creating meaningful employment pathways, supports the career growth of Indigenous staff, and bolsters the relationship between the company and the local Indigenous community.
Since January, over 25 new team members have joined Officeworks Toowoomba to support Back-to-School trading and its grand opening.
The store provided free organic juice, free kids facepainting, traditional Indigenous art workshop, and free giveaways on the day of the grand opening.
