Leader in dash cam technology, Nextbase has released the AI-powered 4G connected iQ smart dash cam in Australia – the world’s first and only aftermarket connected-car platform, which was named Billboard’s Best New Vehicle Security System at CES 2024 and was listed in TIME Best Inventions.

The Nextbase iQ is available in two resolution options – 1K and 4K – as well as a rear camera option and a built-in infrared cabin camera.
SmartSense Parking enables users to toggle remote alerts using radar-based spatial-awareness technology. These notifications allow the user to monitor, engage and take proactive measures to deal with an incident before it happens.
Guardian Mode allows users to set parameters for remote alerts when leaving their vehicle with another person, such as speed, aggressive acceleration or travelling outside of a certain geographical area.
Voice-activated Witness Mode instantly saves a 30-minute video to the cloud and pushes a live stream notification to an emergency contact in real-time.
Live Viewvia the iQ app shows what’s going on in or around a vehicle at any time. The app also allows users to live stream, trigger an audible alarm, view video history, share and more. Other safety features include automatic emergency SOS alerts, GPS and enhanced infrared night vision.
The Nextbase iQ can be set up with an OBD connector, allowing the vehicle to power the device and access iQ’s smart features. A regular hardwire kit is also included and a 32GB SD card is pre-installed.
The Nextbase iQ smart dash cam is now available from Harvey Norman with pricing starting from $799. A launch offer includes bonus iQ rear window camera, valued at $299 and a bonus three-month Protect subscription, valued at $14.99 per month.
