Nebula has opened the first-of-its-kind streaming cinema, taking up residency in Sydney’s Darlinghurst, allowing visitors to stream content for free in a boutique cinema space.

The four-seater cinema features recliner chairs, surround sound, unlimited popcorn, snacks and drinks with on-demand waiter service. Guests will also receive an immersive viewing experience from Nebula’s flagship 150-inch projector, the Cosmos Laser 4K Projector, valued at $4,295.

The projector utilises built-in Chromecast delivering access to over 7,000 apps including Netflix, Hulu, ESPN, Amazon Prime and Disney+.

Commenting on the experience, Nebula Australia and New Zealand head of sales and operations, Gaspar Xie said, “Traditionally, people would either go out to the cinema for that big screen experience or stay home and stream their favourite shows. The Nebula Streaming Cinema is all about merging the two together, bringing a cinematic experience to the living room.

“By offering cinema-like video quality and an ocean of content to stream from, all in the comfort of a cosey, private space, we’re showing Australians they can have the best of both worlds.”
