Narwal Flow

Narwal has launched in Australia its latest floor-cleaning robot, the Narwal Flow, introducing a new level of precision and efficiency in automated home cleaning.

The device, available locally from 13 October 2025, represents the company’s most advanced model to date, featuring a suite of new technologies designed to deliver superior cleaning performance across hard floors and carpets.

The Narwal Flow will retail for AUD $2,999, with an early bird offer of $2,499 running from 13 to 31 October 2025. From 27 October, the product will also be available through The Good Guys, Costco, Big W, Bunnings, and Kogan online.

The Narwal Flow introduces a track-style mopping system known as FlowWash, which replaces the industry’s standard dual-rotating mops. The system combines real-time water infusion, heated water at 113°F, and 12N downward pressure for deeper, streak-free cleaning.

The unit also features wastewater extraction and storage, ensuring consistent cleaning quality over larger areas. The accompanying EdgeReach Mop System extends outward to clean within 0.19 inches of walls and corners, using angled nozzles and reverse-rolling motion to ensure precision coverage.

Narwal has also integrated an Ultra-Intelligent Bionic Human-Eye Perception system to improve navigation and obstacle avoidance. Powered by TwinAI Dodge technology and 10 TOPS edge computing, the robot can identify more than 200 objects in real time with 5mm precision, adjusting its cleaning strategy for different surfaces.

The addition of CarpetFocus Technology enables the unit to automatically switch to high-pressure suction — up to 22,000Pa — when cleaning carpets, while the Dual-Flow Tangle-Free System prevents hair tangling through adaptive side and roller brushes.

Other features include DirtSense adaptive cleaning, 120-day self-emptying capability via a 2.5L dust bag, and AI Adaptive Hot-Water Mop Washing, which dynamically adjusts between 45°C and 80°C for optimal hygiene. The Narwal Flow also supports the HeyNarwal voice assistant and is compatible with Google, Alexa, and Siri.

Narwal COO for Australia and New Zealand, Nathan Spitalnic, said the company’s goal following the launch is to strengthen its presence in the region.

“Post event, what we’re really looking for is to establish and grow the brand out in Australia. We’ve got some amazing products coming through the pipeline in the next 12 months,” Spitalnic told Appliance Retailer.

“You can see just the quality of product that we’re looking to bring. And what we’re ultimately looking to do is just see growth in the market, significant growth in the market, really establishing a foothold and assert dominance in the market, in Australia and NZ.”

Narwal’s Head of Global Brand, Icey Bin, said the company’s focus remains on addressing users’ everyday challenges through innovation.

“Right now, we at Narwal, we focus on the home cleaning. We focus on the floor line. That means we will solve the problem, the pain points on floor cleaning,” Bin told Appliance Retailer.

“Our advantage over others, I think actually, Narwal is a late comer to the industry compared to others. The key thing of Narwal is our innovative spirits behind the brand from the first generation to the last generation.”

Bin added that Narwal’s philosophy goes beyond introducing new features.

“The unique part is not how many advanced technologies you bring to the products. It’s about how you apply these advanced technologies to the real user scenario,” she said.

“We always say how many pain points we have [to address] with our products. We always focus on the user’s pain points.”

Founded in 2016, Narwal began research and development on its first product before launching its self-cleaning robot vacuum in 2019.

The company now operates in more than 30 markets worldwide and serves over four million households, generating annual sales exceeding US$460 million. In Australia, Narwal has service centres in Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth, with products available through Harvey Norman, JB Hi-Fi, Amazon, and Costco, as well as the company’s official website.
