Unique shopping experience.

The countdown to Christmas is on and Myer is prepared to delight customers with its in-store experience. On Thursday, Myer opened its doors to its popular Giftorium and Wonderland by Myer, which has been designed for both children and adults to enjoy.

Myer Giftorium

Giftorium offers a unique set of services to Myer customers shopping for Christmas gifts, decorations and festive food ideas. Every Myer store has a dedicated Giftorium section with colourful displays, merchandise offerings and fully trained staff. New for 2016 is the Fujifilm Instax Wonder Shop with all Fujifilm accessories to turn photos into art at home and a Zumbo stand with Sunbeam Mixmasters and Christmas goodies including his famous Zumbarons (macarons).

Fujifilm Australia divisional manager for photographic imaging, Michaela Lawrence said, “Fujifilm is thrilled about the launch of the Instax Wonder Shop in the Myer Giftorium and the opportunity to create such excitement in a retail environment. It aligns perfectly with the fun nature of Instax. Fujifilm is also delighted to be partnering with an iconic brand such as Myer.”

A spokesperson for Adriano Zumbo told Appliance Retailer, “The Giftorium concept and design is a great opportunity to reach a captive Christmas audience. We are expecting a busy Christmas with a lot of food traffic.”

Myer also has an extensive Personal Shopping Service centred on expertly trained Gifticians to help customers choose the perfect gift to suit all tastes and budgets. In-store services available in all stores include the ‘All Wrapped Up’ Christmas Gift Registry, gift ordering on iPads when a product is not available in-store, and Shop and Drop parcel service so customers don’t have to carry their bags.

Myer executive general manager stores, Tony Sutton, said Wonderland by Myer sets an impressive stage for the theatre of retail and is set to enthral visitors young and old this Christmas.

“We have created an ‘out of this world’ experience where local and international customers can immerse themselves in a theatrical world of toys, childrenswear, gifting, events, and food. There’s a big kid in all of us, and Wonderland by Myer transforms retail so that it is more than just shopping – it is about having fun and creating lasting memories with your family.”

“Customers can travel in a rocket ship, watch shows in the theatre, and test out the latest toys. To make this a truly special place, we also recruited 50 new team members who are trained in performance and theatre so they can make our customers feel part of this magical world,” he said.
