Motorola has unveiled the new Motorola razr 2022 featuring a new Flex View hinge, 50MP camera system, Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 performance and Dolby Atmos sound.

Motorola head of Australia and New Zealand, Kurt Bonnici said, “Motorola’s strategy has always been to lead with innovation and as the pioneer of foldable phones we have continued to push the boundaries of what’s possible with this form factor.

“Consumers in the premium segment are looking for flagship features within a beautifully designed handset. Not only that, but they want portability without sacrificing display or the features that matter most – the motorola razr 2022 answers all this and more.”

The razr 2022 minimalist design is compact with a matte finish, incorporating a 2-7-inch Quick View display to view notifications, read and send messages, take pictures, make payments and more without opening the phone.

When unfolded, the razr 2022 has a 6.7-inch Full HD pOLED display with over a billion shades of colour and refresh rates up to 144Hz. The split screen function enables users to open multiple apps and multitask.

The razr 2022 claims to feature the most advanced camera on a flip phone with a 50MP main camera sensor. Instant All-Pixel Focus shoots with 32 times more focusing pixels for more precise performance. A 13MP ultrawide plus macro vision sensor fits 4 times more in the frame and the Macro Vision sensor brings users 3.5 times closer than a standard lens. 8K video recording captures over 33 million pixels. The device also claims to incorporate the first triple array mic on a foldable phone.

The battery on the razr 2022 is 1.25 times larger than the previous generation and charging is twice as fast with 30W TurboPower.

The Motorola razr 2022 is now available in Satin Black for RRP $1,599 from JB Hi-Fi and The Good Guys in-store and online, as well as Officeworks, Big W, Mobileciti and Lenovo online only.
