Motorola is introducing the moto g54 5G, the company’s first sub-$300 5G smartphone, priced at RRP $299.
The moto g54 5G sports a 6.5-inch display with Full HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, which automatically adjusts based on the content. Support for Dolby Atmos sound, Spatial Sound by Motorola and stereo speakers, promise to deliver improved bass, cleaner vocals and crisp clarity, even at higher volumes.
The moto g54 5G features a 50MP camera sensor with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and Quad Pixel technology for four-times better low light sensitivity, day or night. The dedicated Macro Vision camera lets users get up close to a subject and capture details often missed with a standard lens. The 16MP front camera completes the camera system and features Face Retouch to automatically enhance photos.
Motorola has incorporated the MediaTek Dimensity 7020 octa-core processor for super-fast download speedsleveraging 5G. The 5,000mAh battery can last more than one day and re-charging is quick thanks to 15W TurboPower charging.
From a design perspective, the moto g54 5G features an aluminium camera housing and premium matte finish. The special edition Indigo Blue comes in a vegan leather finish with water-repellent design.
Launching with Android 13 and Motorola’s unique My UX software, users can incorporate their favourite features in a more intuitive and natural way through gestures – a twist of the wrist to open the camera, chopping down twice to turn on the flashlight, or taking a screenshot with a touch.
The moto g54 5G will receive one major android OS upgrade and three years of bi-monthly security updates.
