Mitsubishi Electric has launched a new floor standing air conditioner, which it claims will heat rooms twice as fast as previous models.

Offering a sleek and slimline design, the MFZ-KW-VG delivers low-temperature heating performance at speed thanks to RapidHeat advanced sensors and Intuitive Control Logic technology.

The heat technology blows warm air downward before returning into the unit where it reheats the air for a second time to reduce the time required to heat a room.

The cutomisable Multi Vane Flow function blows warm air upward and downward using three uniquely shaped vanes designed for improved airflow control and even heat distribution. Select models in the range operate at just 18 dBA on heating mode.

Mitsubishi Electric national product manager, Atesh Mani said optimum performance does not compromise the unit’s style.

“The console is designed for more discreet installation with a removable base for installation in a wall recess to dramatically reduce the depth of the unit from 215mm to 145mm, which can make a real difference for homeowners looking to more contemporary design aesthetics for heating.”

RRPs for the range start from $3,049.
