Midea has hosted Australian retailers including Bing Lee, Retravision, Bi-Rite and Electrical Discounters at its first regional dealer conference in Bali.
The event held from 28 September to 1 October brought together 400 delegates from 11 separate markets in the APAC region to hear about Midea’s latest products and business strategy.
Midea Group’s global 63 production centres and around 190,000 employees in more than 200 countries and regions generated an annual revenue of $56.9 billion in 2024. Its 38 worldwide innovation centres and commitment to R&D have resulted in more than 90,000 authorized patents to-date.

During the event, Midea showcased 150 products separated into five solutions – SmartMaster, EcoMaster, SpaceMaster, Residential Air-Conditioners, and Midea Building Technologies – with many products from these platforms to launch in the Australian market before the end of the year and in early 2026.
According to Midea, these innovations represent the company’s commitment to grow with local partners and include significant advancements in smart home technology, energy efficiency, and space-optimised design, particularly relevant to Australian households.
In the SmartMaster section, attendees discovered how Midea’s AI powered technologies help users master their home with AI that cares and smart sensors, providing ultimate convenience. As a collection of intelligent technologies embedded across Midea’s appliance range, SmartMaster is designed to understand, adjust, and respond gently and precisely to users’ needs. Midea SmartMaster MDRS791 refrigerator, equipped with the advanced Smart Cooling system and multiple intelligent sensors, delivers precise temperature control for fresher food and greater energy efficiency. Midea SmartMaster Air Purifier uses three smart sensors and AI mode to adjust filtration in real time, ensuring cleaner air with optimal humidity for healthier living. Midea SmartMaster Dishwasher features an ergonomic Easy-Lift Lower Basket. Bringing it all together, users can connect, monitor and manage all appliances through the Midea SmartHome App – the single platform to their entire smart home.
Consumers today care about reducing energy use and protecting the environment. Midea EcoMaster is a prime showcase, using AI-driven energy optimisations to manage the power and performance of home appliances, it can reduce their energy use by up to 30 percent. Moreover, it offers comprehensive reports through the application for supported devices, including an 8-star energy-rated side-by-side refrigerator, a 10-star energy-rated 10kg heat pump dryer and a 4.5-star energy-rated, 5.5-star water-rated dishwasher.
Responding to the need for space efficient appliances in modern homes, Midea’s SpaceMaster appliances combine smart mechanical engineering with refined aesthetics to deliver high capacity and performance in compact or standard-sized dimensions. SpaceMaster 700-litre refrigerator is engineered to maximise kitchen space without expanding its external size. Paired with other SpaceMaster innovations such as the Dishwasher and Heat Pump Washer-Dryer, this series sets a new benchmark for space-efficient appliances.
In harsh Australian weather, enhanced anti-corrosion protection is essential to extending product lifespan and ensuring long-term durability. Addressing this need, Midea’s Residential Air-Conditioner solution showcase features with Prime Guard™ corrosion-resistant technology, delivering lasting performance and cooling comfort. Supporting this, indoor units are equipped with TU1 copper tubes and a silver shield coating, while outdoor units feature Hyper Grapfins technology, a UV-coated PCB, wide-voltage operation, and auto-dedusting.
