Sunbeam has unveiled its Christmas small appliance line-up for 2013, offering up plenty of colour and a range of new additions to the food preparation, coffee, garment care and cooking categories, as well as a stylish new designer-influenced range.
Set to hit retail stores in the coming weeks and months — and all due to be rolled out well in advance of the busy Christmas sales period — Sunbeam’s new range is the first to be launched under its ‘Designed by You’ rebranding, which has seen the smalls brand focus on feature sets designed to make the consumer’s life easier.
Examples of this are seen across the range. In food prep, for example, Sunbeam has launched the new Fiesta Folding Mixmaster in White, Black and Pink (MX1000W/K/P, RRP $139) — an entry-level bench mixer that can be folded up for compact storage when it’s not in use.

But the new features are not just present in lower price-point products. To co-ordinate with its flagship Café Series EM7000 Espresso Machine, Sunbeam has launched the new Café Series Precision Grinder (EM0700, RRP $299), which offers an automatic ‘Tap & Go’ grind delivery system, 30 adjustable grind settings (with a “no-tool recalibration system”) and a design that positions the motor away from the conical grinding burrs to ensure the burrs aren’t agitated or heated during the grinding process.
Sunbeam has also updated its iconic Planetary Mixmaster with three new designs incorporating a silver die-cast base and either a white, navy blue or red top section (MX7900W/B/R, RRP $299), and added two new novelty items to its line-up — the Snack Heroes Brownie Maker (MW1100, RRP $39.95) and Waffle Stick Maker (WM3300, RRP $34.95).
The brand has also jumped on board the personal blending trend with the Blender On The Go (PB2000, RRP $49.95) and is expanding its juicing offer with the Double Sieve Juicer Pro in stainless steel (JE7800, RRP $179), the Double Sieve Juicer in white plastic (JE5600, RRRP $169) and a Slow Juicer (JE9000, RRP $299).
Finally, on show at the launch today was the brand’s new Florence Broadhurst collection of appliances, which will be sold in retail in designer Florence Broadhurst-printed boxes.
