Meta has introduced a major update to its Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses in Australia.

Meta has introduced a major update to its Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses in Australia, adding live translation capabilities, new frame styles, expanded retail availability, and a new local marketing campaign.

Starting today, Australian users can access live translation in English, Spanish, French, and Italian through the glasses’ built-in speakers and the Meta View app. The feature works offline if language packs are downloaded in advance.

The Skyler frame line is also launching new styles including Shiny Chalky Gray with Blue Sapphire Transitions GEN S, and Shiny Black variants with G15 Green or Clear lenses.

Ray-Ban Meta glasses are now available at Harvey Norman and JB Hi-Fi, where customers can try out features like Meta AI, photo and video capture, livestreaming, and music playback through interactive in-store demos. An online store has also launched with both retailers.

A new local ad campaign featuring Chris Hemsworth, Chris Pratt, and Kris Jenner will debut in early May, following its premiere during the Super Bowl in the US.
