Collaborative transition underway for change in Australian distribution.

The distribution of the Gaggenau and Neff brands in Australia will transition from current distributor Sampford IXL to BSH Australia, formally commencing on March 1 2016. BSH Australia has exercised its contractual right under the distribution agreement to distribute the Gaggenau and Neff brands, owned by BSH Australia’s parent BSH Hausgeräte GmbH.

As the Australian distributor of the Gaggenau and Neff brands since 1980 and 1995 respectively, Sampford IXL has a long-standing and productive relationship with BSH Australia.

Professor Charles Sampford, who signed up Gaggenau in August 1979, said, “We have been proud to be stewards of these brands for 35 and 20 years respectively, and look forward to seeing them grow within the BSH Australia family of brands.”

Sampford IXL CEO Chris Dickins affirmed the collaborative process being undertaken to support the transition of the brands to BSH Australia.

“We look forward to working closely with BSH Australia over the transition period, and supporting the ordering and customer service process for Gaggenau and Neff after the transition date.

“Sampford IXL will continue to own the IXL and Cannon brands, and this change will enable us to increase our focus on developing these brands and bringing new IXL and Cannon products to market,” Dickins said.

BSH Australia managing director, Philipp Walter said, “Given that BSH Australia has been in Australia since 2005 and the Bosch and Siemens brands are well-established, we think it is the right time for BSH to take responsibility for the Gaggenau and Neff brands in Australia.”

“Sampford IXL has done an excellent job as distributor of these premium brands, building a platform from which we believe BSH can continue to grow the brands in the Australian market. We also thank Sampford IXL for the professional way in which they have worked with us to develop the transition plan,” he added.

BSH Australia and Sampford IXL will be meeting with Gaggenau and Neff retail partners in coming weeks to provide further detail on the transition. Sampford IXL will also communicate directly with consumers, developers and builders to confirm arrangements for the completion of their orders.
