Fisher & Paykel Australia has confirmed to Current.com.au that it has restructured its sales team, eliminating state based sales manager roles across Australia.
In addition to removing the sales manager roles in New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland and South Australia/Northern Territory (combined), Fisher & Paykel has promoted some employees and changed the roles of others.
These changes were made after lengthy consultations between Fisher & Paykel general manager of sales Mark Pacey, CEO Mike Church, Fisher & Paykel’s wider management team and retail partners.
“The restructure creates new roles, and therefore new opportunities within the business, but also streamlines some parts of the structure with the result being some change in reporting structures and the removal of some roles,” said Pacey.
“I am confident this new sales structure will bring about increased opportunity to generate sales and create an alignment with our key retail partners. I believe the new sales structure will encourage the team to be more ambitious in our sales targets.
“We will provide focused coaching to achieve these ambitions, which will result in the further development of our sales team.”

The major changes from this restructure are:
-Olly Sundstrum appointed Harvey Norman national channel manager.
-Recruitment commencing for two more national channel managers.
-Jordan Rogers promoted to Sundstrum’s former NSW state manager role.
-Brett Barsley appointed regional state manager for Western Australia, South Australia and the Northern Territory.
-Paul Younan promoted to regional warehouse manager.
Fisher & Paykel further reported that “the Warehouse and Distribution functions will now report directly to Fisher & Paykel’s Logistics and Operation function, meaning the distribution managers in New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria will now report to operations manager Mark Trad”.
