LG has launched a mega capacity microwave, the 56-litre Smart Inverter Magnetron, its latest addition to the NeoChef range, said to be the largest capacity microwave on the local market.

Designed to do more than reheat and defrost, the LG NeoChef can cook a variety of home cooked meals for a family.  It  delivers power and temperature control for defrosting, heating and cooking and works alongside the Sensor Cook menu, catering specifically to dishes such as casseroles, risotto and jacket potatoes. A white LED lamp, that is up to three times brighter and more energy efficient than an incandescent light, makes it easier to monitor meals during cooking.

According to research company IBISWorld more Australians are staying in and cooking at home and LG supports this trend by providing users with more opportunity to easily cook dishes at home.

“There has never been a more important time to make the kitchen the heart of your home. At LG, we believe the NeoChef Smart Inverter microwave will help to encourage Australians to experience a range of microwave recipes at home,” senior marketing manager LG  Home Appliances, Brad Reed said.

The Anti-Bacterial Easy-Clean interior coating helps make the clean-up simple and convenient with just a few wipes and is said to eliminate 99.99 per cent of harmful bacteria from the surface. In addition, the curved rear corners inside the microwave make it easy to navigate the clean-up.

Available with a matte black finish with a tempered glass door, it retails for $539.
