LG Electronics Australia has expanded the list of streaming applications on select OLED, NanoCell and 4K/UHD TVs with Apple TV, ABC iView, Optus Sport and Amazon Music joining Disney+, Netflix, Stan, YouTube and Amazon Prime Video on the LG Home Launcher on webOS.

The LG webOS platform features content streaming apps offering the ability to subscribe and view a wide range of content. Utilising the LG Magic Remote, users can control the webOS Smart TV platform to access these apps.

With the availability of Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos titles across Apple TV, Disney+ and Netflix, users can experience this content on compatible LG TVs that come enhanced with these two technologies.

Almost 16 million Australians have access to at least one content streaming service. Leading platforms include Netflix (13.28 million viewers), Foxtel (5.5 million), Stan (4.43 million), Disney+ (2.49 million), and Amazon Prime Video (2.16 million), according to recent Roy Morgan data.

LG Electronics Australia marketing manager for home entertainment, Tony Brown said, “We are passionate about providing Australians with content viewing options that enrich the home entertainment experience. At a time where Australians are staying home and watching more movies and TV shows, we have made it easy for consumers to catch up and stream their favourite shows whenever they please and in the comfort of their lounge room.

“We look forward to continuing to add more high-quality entertainment services in the future for new and existing customers.”
