LG Electronics Australia has today announced the departure of its managing director, Deok Hyeon Moon, after three years in the post. From 1 January 2015, the new LG boss will be Youngik Lee.
Moon is returning to South Korea to become LG’s foundation head of its new overseas sales and marketing company, which will be part of the Marketing Strategy Division at the company’s Seoul headquarters.
Youngik Lee was most recently the RAC overseas sales and marketing manager at LG’s head office.
Meanwhile, LG has confirmed that Jonathan Banks will be departing in March 2015. Banks has been the head of mobile communications since January 2013. Before that he worked at Nokia, Kraft Foods and Campbell Arnotts. LG has commenced the search for Banks’ replacement, the company said.
“Mister Moon and Mister Banks have been great advocates for the Australian business,” said GM marketing Lambro Skropidis. “Both have been instrumental in steering significant change and innovation during their time with us and they will be missed. We send them on with our very best wishes and look forward to welcoming Mister Lee as we move into the New Year.”
