Lenovo has shown its latest range of Yoga Slim premium clamshell laptops, focusing on performance, versatility, and security features.

The new portable PCs are led by the Yoga Slim 9i, a carbon neutral certified laptop suited for entertainment and content creation on the go. Its 14-inch 16:10 screen is available in up to a 4K OLED PureSight touchscreen display, providing sharp clarity and rich colours along with a Vesa Certified Display HDR 500 rating. Also included are four Bowers & Wilkins speakers for onboard audio.

Powered by 12th Gen Intel Core processors, the Oatmeal-coloured Yoga Slim 9i includes various AI performance and security features via Lenovo A.I. Core 2.0 technology. This includes hardware-level encryption designed to help keep your laptop safe from root and ransomware attacks, and the AI technology can optimise hardware performance based on the tasks you’re working on.

Also revealed as part of the latest Lenovo range were the Yoga Slim 7i Pro X and Yoga Slim 7 Pro X, two powerful content creation laptops with 14.5-inch 3072 x 1920 displays capable of a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate.

Both can house up to 32GB LPDDR5 RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU, with the main difference between the two is the choice of CPU family. The Yoga Slim 7i Pro X comes in a range of 12th Gen Intel Core processors and is also available in either Dark Teal or Cloud Grey colours, while the Yoga Slim 7 Pro X uses the AMD Ryzen 6000 series of mobile CPUs and only comes in Storm Grey.

For hybrid workers, Lenovo introduced the Yoga Slim 7i Carbon, an extremely light 13-inch laptop weighing in at under 1kg, available in three colour options: Moon White, Cloud Grey, and Storm Grey. Lenovo has also refreshed the 14-inch and 16-inch variations of the Yoga Slim 7 Pro and Yoga Slim 7i Pro laptops, in addition to the Yoga 7 2-in-1 hybrid device.

In the event the device is lost or stolen, Lenovo Smart Lock Services is a new cloud-based security software that allows users to remotely locate, lock, and wipe the device. This protects sensitive data while also aiding efforts to track down missing technology.

New to the Lenovo hybrid work product range is the Yoga AIO 7, a 27-inch 4K IPS all-in-one desktop computer and display solution. Including an AMD Ryzen 6000 Series processor and optional AMD Radeon RX 6600M graphics, the Yoga AIO 7 offers various viewing options, with the ability to rotate 90 degrees, tilt, plus lift up and down thanks to a flexible hinge design.

It also doubles as a home entertainment device, with dual JBL 5W speakers for playing audio content, made easy by the ability to wirelessly cast smartphone content to the display and plug your laptop in via a USB Type-C port.

So far, only the Yoga AIO 7 has local availability and pricing details confirmed, with a September 2022 release window starting from $2,699. Further details on the new Lenovo Yoga range are expected closer to launch.
