The director of Panasonic Australia’s Business Systems Group (BSG) is set to depart from his role after just a few months in the job, with the company in the process of finding a replacement to head up its B2B division.
Stuart Craig was appointed as BSG director in February this year, replacing Mark Deere-Jones in the role. In this position, Craig was responsible for Panasonic’s commercial business, including commercial displays, projectors and Toughbooks.
Following his departure, a representative for Panasonic Australia confirmed that all activity for the Business Systems Group will be overseen by the managing director Steve Rust until a replacement is found. The company has begun recruiting for the role and “no additional disruption to operations is expected” according to the spokesperson.

In other Panasonic news, the company has announced that one of its LED Video Scoreboards is set to be installed at Blacktown International Sportspark in western Sydney, following an open tender by Blacktown City Council.
The new 77.4-square metre screen will allow the facility to screen live action video, images, advertising and scores — previously the 10,000 capacity stadium was fitted out with a scoreboard that had no video capabilities.
“The screen offers the same capabilities as international stadiums in terms of the level of scoring that can be displayed,” said Mark Wong, national projects manager for AV and IT at Panasonic Australia. “The superior technology of these screens ensures excellent outdoor viewing, thanks to the bright LED display and the 140-degree viewing angle that allows every person in the stadium to have the ‘best seat in the house’.”
