Risk of scalding or burning.
The KitchenAid stainless steel 1.7L kettle with variable temperature control has been recalled as the handle may become loose or separate from the body. As a result, the user could be scalded or burned.
The kettle was sold nationally between 1 November 2013 and 21 February 2018 at Bing Lee, David Jones, Harvey Norman, Myer, The Good Guys, Winning Appliances, as well as selected specialist homeware retailers and independent houseware stores.
Affected models include 5KEK1722AAC, 5KEK1722AER, 5KEK1722AOB, 5KEK1722ACU and 5KEK1722ASX. Consumers are advised to immediately stop using the product.
If the kettle is registered, the consumer will be contacted directly. Other consumers should contact 1800 986 190 or visit www.repair.whirlpool.com to arrange for a replacement.
