SYDNEY, NSW: Breville is set to build its team of “food thinkers”, with the announcement today of three new appointments to its marketing and cooking divisions.

The new appointments will “allow Breville to develop more and more differentiated products, as well as stronger consumer marketing touch points in all markets,” according to Scott Brady, general manager of global marketing, Breville.

Following international experience with Whirlpool/Kitchenaid in the USA, Singapore and China, Catherine Ruspino will take on the role of cooking business manager for Breville. This position will see her holding responsibility for global cooking product development and marketing, and working with cooking and marketing teams in Australia and overseas.

Outgoing test kitchen manager Michelle Thrift has been replaced by Michelle Lucia, who will head up product testing and recipe creation. Lucia comes to Breville from similar small appliance product testing and recipe creation roles, including for Sunbeam.

Finally, Lucy Hellaby is set to join the Breville team as junior brand manager. In this position she will coordinate consumer marketing activity for Australia and support the business and category managers in cooking, food preparation and beverage divisions.
