HTC and Vodafone are jointly launching the Salsa and ChaCha smartphone handsets next Thursday (30 June 2011).

After the Incredible S and the Desire S were launched with Optus and Telstra respectively, it’s now time for Vodafone to get its hands on an HTC smartphone. What sets the Salsa apart from the pack is its dedicated Facebook button, which allows users to automatically upload photos to their Wall. This is as a great feature, as most phones take around 5 seconds to do this manually.

In the HTC world of dance themed mobile phones, the ChaCha is one of most exotic. It’s an Android smartphone with a full QWERTY keyboard. Its form factor closely resembles the classic BlackBerry Bold, but with a full touchscreen. This phone sits nicely in an often overlooked niche: Android smartphone for people who like to type, not touch. The ChaCha also has the dedicated Facebook button.

Both handsets will be launching with Vodafone. If the agreement follows that of the Desire HD, this exclusivity will be for the life of the handset.

The HTC ChaCha has a touchscreen and a full QWERTY keypad.

The ChaCha's fulltouch dancepartner is the HTC Salsa.
