While the Australian technology media was distracted by Samsung's launch of the Galaxy Note II smartphone, the Korean company took the opportunity to refurbish its flagship retail store (or "Experience Centre", as it is called) in Sydney in preparation for Christmas.

"Give, Joy, Share" seems to be Samsung's Christmas slogan.

The new Galaxy Camera, an Android-based camera with Wi-Fi and 3G, is prominent at Samsung's store, which is taking a very Northern Hemisphere approach to Christmas. Although Christmas in Australia is typically very hot, snowflakes are predominant on the George Street outlet.

The new Galaxy Note II has prime placement in the front window, inside its very own snow globe style display.
