Pick an iStick
New out of GifTech is the iStick, an ingenious new gadget that is so simple it is hard to believe nobody has thought of it until now. Using a switch in the middle of the iStick, users can pivot from a regular USB input to a Lightning Connector, compatible with the latest Apple iPads, iPhones and iPods.
This device allows for content to be shared between Macs and PCs and mobile device with ease and security. Plus, the in-built storage (8/16/32GB, RRP $99/$124/179) means the iStick can be used as expansion memory, which is ideal for when travelling and wanting to take a large library of music and videos, or for backing up images.
Acer up the Sleeve
Ideal for both business and personal use, Acer’s new C205 portable projector (RRP $499) has 200 ansi lumens of brightness and two 2-watt speakers. Playback is via an HDMI input, which can be connected to subscription TV, gaming consoles, Blu-ray players and hard disk drives. Compact and powerful, this projector weighs only 300 grams.
Kensington iPadding prevents iDisasters
Kensington has come up with a great idea: a ruggedised case that optimised the iPad Air for kids to use. Housed in a protective case to protect it from accidental (and tragic) damage, and with a carry case to help kids transport it, the SafeGrip (RRP $59.95) is built to survive the rough and tumble of school and play. Also available is the GummyGrip Stylus (RRP $14.95) to keep unsightly fingerprints off the screen.
On Yur Bike!
They look like cobras ready to strike but they are actually Yurbuds Inspire Limited Edition Wireless sport earphones (RRP $199). Connecting via Bluetooth, they provide snag-free, stay-in-place comfort and convenience to runners, cyclists and gym junkies.
