SYDNEY: Masaya Seki is the new chief executive officer and director of Fujifilm Holdings Australasia — he replaces Mike Machida, who is returning to Japan to pursue a new role at Fujifilm headquarters after nearly three years in Australia.
During his 21 years tenure with Fujifilm, Seki has been involved in all aspects of the Fujifilm Graphic Arts business. In addition to varioussenior roles at Fujifilm headquarters, Seki worked for eight years at Fujifilm UK where he established its Graphic Arts Division following the transition from former distributor, Hanimex.
In 2006, Seki was also responsible for managing Fujifilm Australia’s takeover from the former distributor of its Graphic Arts business, now known as Fujifilm Graphic Systems.
According to a company statement released today, Seki aims to continue Machida’s work “to further develop Fujifilm Australia’s operations and to build one of the most forward thinking imaging and information businesses in the region”.
