HoMedics has launched a new hair styling brand, Revamp Professional, with the aim of making professional hairstyling results more accessible and affordable for both women and men.

With plans to close the gap at the top end of the market dominated by ghd and Dyson, the Revamp range offers hair dryers, hair straighteners and stylers at price points under $180, with the exception of the air styler priced at $249.95 – significantly less than the Dyson Airwrap which retails from $799.

Hair health and vitality are at the forefront of the Revamp range with the products delivering caring technology and unique Progloss oils containing keratin, argan oil and coconut oil to protect and nourish for smoother and shinier hair.

Featuring ionic conditioning, ions separate water particles into micro-particles to moisture the hair, while negative ions help seal and flatten cuticles to keep moisture inside.

The flagship Revamp ProGloss 5500 hair dryer, RRP $169, delivers powerful 2400W AC professional motor with enhanced high velocity air speed at 168m3/h, four heat and two speed settings, and ultra-cool freeze shot, as well as two concentrators and a diffuser.

The ProGloss Liberate cordless hair straightener, RRP $179.95, is powered by the latest lithium-ion technology for 30 minutes use. Advanced intelligent heat control regulates the temperature 100 times per second while ultra-fast MCH heat technology provides fast heat-up and heat recovery. There are three temperature settings – high (210 degrees Celsius), medium (180 degrees Celsius) and low (160 degrees Celsius) for all hair types and styles. It comes with a heat-resistant travel pouch for on-the-go use.

A two-in-one blow dry and style tool, the ProGloss AirStyle, RRP $249.95, comes with a diffuser for volume at the roots, 19mm air curl tong for effortless curls, 38mm rotating air brush for volume and shape, 32mm bristle air brush for curls and waves, and cushioned paddle air brush for a smooth and sleek finish. It has four heat and two speed settings including a cool shot button.

As Australia’s first hair styling brand embracing LGBTIQ, non-binary and non-gender specific personalities, drag queen, singer and TV personality, Courtney Act has been appointed Revamp’s Australian brand ambassador.

Renowned avant-garde international stage artist, film, fashion and TV hairdresser, Joseph Koniak has been appointed global brand ambassador and international creative director. He was most recently global brand ambassador for the Diva haircare brand for the past seven years.
