French post-modern tech brand Parrot is giving away a stash of enticing prizes in its latest AR.Drone Challenges competition.

To be in the running, AR.Drone users, called ‘Pilots’, need to film themselves completing the challenges as per the instructions and then load the footage to a social media site.

The prizes include a round trip to CES in Las Vegas, iPad 2s, helicopter flights and AR.Drones.

E3 Style has been shortlisted for a Telstra Business Award, specifically the AMP Innovation Award.

Vanessa Garrand, the director of E3, said this acknowledgement is indicative of E3’s unique business model.

“We develop products based on our research and market intel,” she said. “We want to make sure that every product that is on the retail shelf performs and we invest in understanding what drives the consumer to buy the product, our team are focused on developing products that consumers want, because the consumer decides if a product is worthy of their dollar and we focus on making sure our products meet their expectations.”

The state winners will be announced on 12 July 2011.

Good news for TCL Electronics, with Transformers: Dark of the Moon, which features significant TCL exposure, dominating the box office around the world last weekend.

In Australia, the third instalment of the Shia LeBeouf franchise took in $12.3 million across 253 locations. In the United States, the film was Paramount Pictures biggest opening weekend ever, with receipts totalling $210 million.

TCL Electronics is giving away passes to Transformers: Dark of the Moon with purchases of certain LCD and LED TVs. At the same time, Hoyts is giving away three TCL panels to qualifying Transformers 3 customers.
