Hisense’s PureFlat Taupe Steel 417L refrigerator has been awarded the Canstar Blue Innovation Award in Kitchen Appliances, recognised for its seven-star energy efficiency rating.
The Hisense bottom mount fridge features a reversible door and proprietary PureFlat exterior to seamlessly fit into any kitchen style and layout.
Its inverter motor helps maintain a stable interior temperature, while Hisense’s Metal-Tech Cooling system ensures that temperature remains cool even when the fridge door is open. Vacuum-insulated panels also help keep the cool air in.

Canstar Blue’s Innovation Excellence judging panel was wowed by the fridge’s high energy rating for its low price (RRP $1,699) when compared to other fridges offering advanced features or functions. This innovation and its affordability was considered to be particularly key at a time when higher cost-of-living, including on energy, were being felt by Australian households.
Commenting on the recognition, Hisense head of marketing, Gideon Lui said, “When it comes to energy efficiency, we excel in the appliances that consume the most energy in households, such as refrigerators. Innovation within sustainability has led to amazing product developments including Australia’s highest energy rated seven-star bottom mount refrigerator.
“We are absolutely thrilled to receive the Canstar Blue Innovation Award in Kitchen Appliances for our PureFlat refrigerator with a seven-star energy efficiency rating. It speaks to cementing our place as a brand in this market as the leading refrigerator provider within the energy efficiency pillar.”
