SYDNEY, NSW: The company’s first ‘electric motor-driven wringer washer’ was released in the United States in 1911, only a handful of years after the device was patented by the Ford Motor Company. Whirlpool has been in Australia since 1958.

The company’s humorous ‘Guess Whose Mum’s Got a Whirlpool?’ advertising campaign which uses iconic Australians such as Bert Newton, Dave Hughes and Dame Edna Everage, has been incorporated into a new corporate and brand logo to celebrate the centennial anniversary.
