Harvey Norman expands Singapore footprint.

Harvey Norman opened its flagship superstore in Millenia Walk last week, occupying the largest homeware retail space in Singapore’s CBD, described as the retail giant’s “best looking store in the world” by CEO Katie Page.

Page told Singapore media, “It took 14 years to get here and we did it because we kept on working at it and keeping up our standards. We are as passionate today about the brand, if not more, as we were all those years ago.”

“The new space is what I have always envisioned the Harvey Norman space to be. We have stores within the store and to have this much space here is quite extraordinary,” she added.

The first level features home and kitchen appliances, as well as electronic products, and as a first for Singapore, the Wonder Photo Shop by Fujifilm. The second level is devoted to homeware decorations and furniture, while the third level is devoted to bedding furniture and accessories.

“This is like a family … and it’s my job to grow the business for our staff. When you run a business like this, it’s about the team because it’s their career.

“We don’t just invest in our customers; we invest in our people too,” Page said.
