Harvey Norman has made two new appointments to its merchandise team.

According to Harvey Norman general manager – electrical, David Ackery, Iain Tennant has been promoted to business development manager – major appliances after previously working in the position of business development manager – cooking. Tennant replaces Ashley Collins.

“Iain has been around our company for 25 years and has had roles at our Flemington head office for 12 years. He has worked his way up through the system and different product categories. I am very pleased he has been given the opportunity he has wanted for some time.”

Tennant commenced as a business development manager for Joyce Mayne and Domayne in 1997 and has since worked as air conditioning and seasonal buyer.

Adam Evans has been appointed to the role vacated by Tennant – as business development manager – cooking.

Appliance Retailer understands Ashley Collins will be confirmed shortly as a Harvey Norman franchisee.
