SYDNEY, NSW: The Good Guys has modified its online sales model, with franchisees now delivering stock to consumers. Previously, consumers that had purchased products on The Good Guys central website would pick up their goods from the nearest store.

At the time of launch, The Good Guys’ site operated under the tagline, “Buy online, pick up in store”. Whilst this method of goods collection is still available, the addition of delivery adds an extra element to the proposition. This option comes as Harvey Norman prepares to launch its first foray into true online retailing, having launched a daily deals site earlier this month.

The cost of delivery for The Good Guys will be borne by the customer, with a pay scale depending on the size of the goods and the buyer’s proximity to the store. A local delivery for a small appliance (vacuum cleaner, coffee machine, microwave et cetera) is $20, whilst a larger package (TV, whitegoods et cetera) will be $40.
