Motorsports enthusiast TEAC has released a new CD/iPhone Clock Radio (CRX350iP, RRP $149), which includes an AM/FM radio, CD player, a dock for charging and playing an iPod or iPhone and all the traditional features of an alarm clock.

TEAC’s marketing is currently focused on advertisements during car racing on TV. Brand ambassador Mark “Frosty” Winterbottom encourages consumers to take a look at TEAC in virtually every ad break during the Formula One races on Sunday nights.

The TEAC CD/iPhone Clock Radio looks like a pretty nifty all-in-one bedside device.

The National Retail Association (NRA) has declared its intention to fight the Shop, Distributive and Allied Employees Association's (SDA) appeal against the reduction in minimum working hours for casual school kids in the retails sector.

“The NRA will vigorously defend an appeal against Fair Work Australia’s recent ruling on minimum hours for student casual employees when a hearing takes place tomorrow,” said a spokesperson.

“The NRA is the only retail organisation involved in this case, and having prosecuted the issue from the start will now defend the appeal brought by the shop assistant union.”
