Haier Australia has today announced the appointment of Glenn Shields-Biddle as its new national sales manager.

“Glenn has vast experience in leading and directing sales teams, customer service and training – we are very excited to have him on our dynamic Australian team,” said Haier Australia general manager Richard Bowe. "Glenn joins Haier from Fuji Xerox, where he effectively motivated and led a national sales team as senior executive – new business development."

“Haier is leading the wave of brands that are changing people’s perception of Chinese made goods, so expect to see a lot more of Haier in the near future."

In addition to experience at Fuji Xerox, Shields-Biddle knows the appliances industry from his time at Hagemeyer Brands, former supplier of Smeg (now its own company), Blanco, Omega (both at Shriro) and De Dietrich (now with ILVE's distributor Eurolinx).

Haier Australia's statement continued to say that Shields-Biddle "has more than 13 years national sales experience in consumer electronics and stationary supplies, as well as a solid understanding of online marketing including SEO, web design and social media. He will lead Haier Australia’s sales team and will work closely with key customers to continue to drive the business. He will be based at Haier’s national office in Sydney and report to Richard Bowe.

"Haier is investing heavily in the local market in 2013 as the company plans to replicate its global growth in Australia, through the release of new and clever products and the launch of a fresh marketing campaign mid-year."
