Australian AV brand Viano is making big preparations for the China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, where it will be exhibiting for the first time in October.
Formerly known as Vivo, Viano has been importing into Australia from its own factory in China for the past six years, and will be using this year’s Fair to show off its range of TVs, tablets and a new line-up of smartphones.
The smartphone range is set to be officially launched in the final quarter of 2013, while the TV range will include the brands current offering, ranging in size from 18.5-inch LED HD up to 58-inch LED Full HD 3D, as well as a tablet line-up ranging from 7-inch to 10.1-inch sizes in Wi-Fi and 3G models.
Speaking about the trade show, Viano managing director Fabio Grassia said it represented a great opportunity for the brand.
“Over five days we will introduce our new line of TVs and unveil our new tablets and Android-powered smartphones,” said Viano’s managing director Fabio Grassia. “We will hopefully build a long relationship with new customers both from Australia and from other markets.
“We chose the Canton Fair because we find that major factories from China are exhibiting at this show, attracting serious buyers. With our factory base and setup in China we have embarked on a growth plan this year, utilising our facility to grow the Viano business in other markets such as China and the Middle East.”
The Electronics and Household Electrical Appliances phase of the Canton Fair will be held from 15 to 19 October in Guangzhou, China.
