Samford IXL will discontinue selling the Bertazzoni and La Germania brands at the end of this year, with the supplier to focus on its Gaggenau and Neff cooking ranges, and IXL and Cannon Gas Log seasonal brands.
In a statement to Current.com.au today, CEO Malcolm Owens said the two departing brands were “moving in different directions” to the brands being retained.

“Everyone at Sampford IXL is excited about the opportunity to focus time and energy on Gaggenau and Neff, and to build on our excellent results with these brands over the past several years,” Owens said.
“Sampford IXL has enjoyed an 18-year relationship with Bertazzoni, however it had become clear over the past years that the two businesses were moving in different directions and no longer shared objectives for the future.”
Owens confirmed that Samford IXL will continue to sell Bertazzoni and La Germania “until all current stock is sold”. Sampford IXL has also confirmed it will fulfil warranty and service commitment until new arrangements are decided.
