Living up to its name, Winning Appliances has won a gong at the 2011 Australian Catalogue Association Awards. Winnings won the Home Entertainment — Whitegoods award for catalogues with distribution greater 250,000.

This is quite the victory for Winnings, with the appliance and consumer electronics categories heavily invested in catalogue marketing to drive foot traffic and sales. For the suppliers in the winning issue, called Kitchen Solution 2011, it provides reassurance that this money is well spent.

“There is a clear lift in volume of customers to our eight showrooms following the distribution of a catalogue and the products featured are generally the products which receive the most interest,” she said.

According to the Australian Catalogue Association, around 60 per cent of print advertising is in catalogues.
