Drinkmate Australia has recalled its 1 Litre PET Carbonation Bottle for the Drinkmate OmniFizz for potential over-pressure or explosion during use.
The affected bottles show an expiration date between January 2026 and October 2026.
The products were sold at Drinkmate Australia, Amazon, Harvey Norman, Bunnings, and My Deal from March 1, 2023 to May 31, 2024.
According to the product recall notice, incidents of explosion have already occurred. Risk of injury includes abrasions and hearing damage.
Consumers are advised to check the expiration date of their bottles and to stop using the affected products immediately.
The company also advises proper disposal of the bottle through recycling or waste disposal and noted that the bottle base and lid can be kept as they are not affected.
