Samsung Electronics Australia’s broad cache of sponsorships and community initiatives has been enhanced by a new 3-year partnership with the Foundation for Young Australians (FYA).

The FYA is a national not for profit organisation dedicated to enhancing the lives of young Australians. According to a company statement, the FYA is “relentlessly optimistic about all young people and their ability to be enterprising.

“We believe that they have the courage, imagination and will to create the change they want to see for themselves and their world.  We want to see generations of future-focused learners, enterprising changemakers and confident global citizens.”

Samsung’s three year deal with the FYA is part of its global corporate social responsibility platform Hope for Children, which already operates in 30 overseas markets.

FYA joins James Magnusson, the Sydney Opera House, the Australian Rugby Union and the Wallabies, Life Education and the World Education Games in the Samsung partnership stable.

Here is FYA CEO Jan Owen:

“Young Australians are looking for broader learning experiences and they expect flexible and engaging learning environments that use technology effectively. We are delighted that Samsung has partnered with FYA as we both recognise the important role technology plays in assisting and broadening the learning experience for young people.”

And here is Samsung Electronics Australia marketing director Arno Lenior:

“Samsung strives to accelerate discoveries and possibilities for all people – it’s the DNA of our business. Through our technology, we can help play a vital role in addressing the social challenges we face today and into the future. Since the global launch of Samsung Hope for Children in 2011, we have been working to raise the quality of life for young people and improve access to education across the globe.

“Through the power and innovation of our technology and with the support of FYA, we hope to inspire, motivate and educate young people across the country. We believe Samsung’s technology can open the door to a world of possibilities.

“We also understand that young people are more likely to succeed in the future if they are able to see multiple pathways and options available to them. We feel through our partnerships and programs we’re in a position to help create positive opportunities for young people in Australia.”
