SYDNEY, NSW: Parrot this week showcased two new products as part of its ongoing technology plus design range of premium home products.

The first is a fantastically expensive digital photo frame that is controlled via an app for iPhones, iPads and Android devices. Called the DIA and credited to Parrot by NoDesign, this frame allows users to push images to their photoframe from anywhere in the world. Once a user has downloaded the app, they can take a photo on their mobile device anywhere in the world and then send it via the internet to the frame, wherever it may be. The DIA is RRP $549.

As you can see in this image, the frame has a new form factor, with the LCD screen placed behind the projection to create a very vivid display for users.

Also released this week is the latest model in Parrot's previously released Zikmu wireless speaker range. Credited to Parrot by Phillipe Starck, this speaker set consists of two near identical tower speakers: one has an iDock on it whilst the other receives content over Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. The two speakers talk to each other, meaning that you can place them at opposite ends of a room to receive surround sound without messy cords. The new colour is Dragon Red, joining Classic Black, Arctic White, Pearl Grey and Sorbet Lime in Parrot's adjective/colour scheme. This speaker pair is RRP $1,999.
