digiDirect has kicked off a major sale event, as part of celebrations to mark the Australian consumer electronics retailer’s 18th birthday.

digiDirect was founded by entrepreneur, Shant Kradjian, then 19 years old, who established an e-commerce destination for photo and video products, digidirect.com.au.

Kradjian then opened his first physical store at Westfield Bondi Junction in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, before adding further locations in Sydney City and Miranda (NSW), Melbourne (VIC), Brisbane (QLD) Cannington (WA), and most recently, Parramatta in western Sydney.

Over 18 years, the digiDirect website has firmed its position as one of Australia’s top 100 online retailers––ranked by Power Retail––and added computers, mobiles, gaming and streaming brands and products to become a one-stop shop for content creators.

“It has been an awesome journey,” reflected Kradjian as he welcomed his company’s entry into adulthood on its 18th birthday. “I am privileged to be working with a great team who have helped me bring my digiDirect dream to life, and we’re just getting started.”

The digiDirect 18th birthday sale event offers 18 months interest-free from Zip to help customers take advantage of deals on major brands including Canon, Sony, Apple, Nikon, Dell, Samsung, Fujifilm, Rode and more.

On Saturday 19 August 2023, digiDirect stores will host a ‘Super Saturday’ with free $50 vouchers for the first 100 customers in each store, as well as doorbuster deals. Brand representatives and product managers will be present across all store locations.

“Our 18th birthday sale event is an invitation to our customers to celebrate this milestone by owning their consumer electronics wish lists with industry-leading deals at a time that we know Australians need to be selective with their discretionary spending,” digiDirect general manager, Haig Kayserian added.
