SYDNEY, NSW: Optus has today begun selling the Motorola Defy, on of the standout Android smartphones of 2010. After initially launching exclusively through Telstra, Motorola today confrmed that the Defy will be available through Optus on a $49 cap plan for 24 months.
To add a certain level of exclusivity, the Defy from Optus will be available in a new black and white design. You can read all about the Defy's features in this story posted after its initial launch.

Motorola has had a good summer in Australia, with the American manufacturer involved in a number of outdoor festivals to promote the Defy as the rugged smartphone of choice. First amongst these was Big Day Out, where the Motorola tent provided refreshments and mobile phone charging to tired and emotional music fans throughout the show's run in Australia and New Zealand.
