SYDNEY, NSW: Network 7 has commissioned the third season of My Kitchen Rules but has not announced the cooking show’s small appliance sponsor. Will Breville outbid Sunbeam in round three?

Sunbeam, who has credited revenue success in recent profit reports to its association with cooking show contender MasterChef, sponsored season two of My Kitchen Rules in 2010 but has yet to confirm whether the arrangement will continue into the third season.

Nor did Sunbeam’s small appliance rival, Breville, reveal whether it had made a bid for sponsorship, or not.

“Breville would prefer not to comment as it may jeopardise any commercial discussions it may or may not be having,” said Jonathan Lord, group general manager of marketing and product development when questioned by Current.com.au.

My Kitchen Rules’ current partners include Coles and Blanco appliances, according to the programme’s website.

Following in the steps of MasterChef, Network 7 has also confirmed  My Kitchen Rules will be expanding beyond television with the launch of cookbooks and kitchenware for season three.
